31 Dec New changes: Birmingham so far…
You know that feeling that comes with starting at a new school and having to adjust to the new environment and make new friends all over again? That’s how I feel now!.
It’s been a bit of an emotional roller coaster for me..Honestly, I alternate between feeling bored and lonely sometimes to feeling excited at other times. One minute, I feel like I’m settled and the next minute, I realize there’s a lot that still needs to be done. Making new friends for me has been hectic especially during this pandemic. I mean how do you approach someone putting on a face mask? 🤷🏼♀️
Birmingham city is UK’s second largest city with the most famous Shopping center (Bullring), known to be one of Europe’s largest malls. It also known for it’s night life and large population with a lot of open spaces.
Traveling during a pandemic, we already know what to expect when you get to a new place. Compulsory isolation! I felt all the emotions you can think of during my 14days of quarantine. I was so eager to step out that I stared at the outfit I plan to wear the next day all through the previous day. Yeah, the sort of excitement we got from knowing we were going to wear our Christmas clothes out as kids!
Settling down in a new country/city can be anything but easy… I’m not trying to scare anyone but there’s always a lot to sort out which makes it exhausting if you focus too much on it.
In order not to lose your mind….Sometimes all you need to do is breathe!.
I will like to answer few questions in my next blog post. So if there’s anything you will like to know about me, drop your questions in the comment section and I will be sure to answer them!.
